Poetry!!!

Good morning! Just wanted to let everyone know that I have added some poetry to the site! There is going to be more added overtime but these are the three I am most proud of. Technically two of them were songs, but I rearranged them to look more like poems. Anyways, please enjoy. I'm going to share more about these three poems in a minute, but I also wanted to say that I'd love to turn this into a discussion board, so feel free to leave comments and conversation starters on this post and we can talk about them.

for what it's worth

this is from 2018. It is actually a song I wrote out of the blue one day. I don't really remember why I wrote it, but I've had it for 4 years and now it's gotten the poetry treatment. It comes from a real place, and it was how I was feeling about the world at the time.

i protect you with blankets

This one is the most recent. I had a very different sounding version of this written for about a year or two, but last night I rewrote the entire thing again. Crazy what laying awake at 2am can bring right? It's meant to be short and simple. But I have a feeling that it's going to be interpreted in very different ways. I can't wait to hear your analysis of this one. I'm eager to talk about it.

Tired Of The Rain

Another song that got turned into a poem. I love this one. While "For What It's Worth" was real and came from actual feelings I were assessing at that point in my life, this one is completely fictional. I for one actually love when the rain comes. It's very calming. But I think the story told in this poem is very fun because of the positive spin it gets at the end.
