Hi everyone! I know it's been a long time, but I appreciate everyone's patience. I have two new poems to share with you today that are now on the site, "Cloud Watching," and "How To Take Care Of An Idea."

Cloud Watching is the result of not being able to sleep at 2 in the morning and writing whatever sporadic thing comes to mind. I had that ending in my head first, so I wrote that part down and then the goal was for the rest of the poem to make it there. I'm still not even sure if it makes a lot of sense, but feel free to let me know what you think!

How To Take Care Of An Idea is one of my newest poems I've written for my new poetry writing class in college. It's a workshop class, and one of our prompts was to write an object poem. I decided to write about a pen. I think my professor would argue that this poem has less to do with a pen than what he was expecting, but I'd simply say that this idea evolved into this and that's what made it so much more intersting and funny than I originally intended.

Now that i'm in this class, I'm going to be writing a LOT of poetry, so I'll be able to add more frequently. Plus I am still working on "How You See The World." I posted a teaser of that on my instagram so if you haven't followed that yet, make sure you do!

Until then, happy reading

More soon,

Patrick!
