I'm back 😈

Hello everyone, Patrick here! I know it's been a really long time since I've posted. I'll admit, I kinda forgot about it, and, admittedly, I really wasn't sure what to write about. (Shocker, huh?) But I've missed connecting and talking to you guys, so I'm going to start blogging again!

For this first post, I wanted to give you all a big update on what's been going on!

First off, I am now a college graduate! WOOO! I now have a Bachelor's in English\Creative Writing. It was a crazy two years but I did it and I couldn't be happier. What do I plan to do with that degree now? Well, hopefully work in publishing or something involving writing. (again, big shocker) But let's be honest, we all know what the real dream is- being published!!! So that's still the dream and I hope it comes true one day.

Speaking of being published, this is a perfect pivot into discussing what I've been writing. I'm currently working on TWO new books. Kind of. I started writing the follow up to "Astrid Outdoors." It's called "Speck Of Sage," and I got nearly finished with it before I stopped to take a breather. Then, I started reading "The Atlas Six" by Olivie Blake, which for those who don't know, is a book with multiple pov switches between it's many characters. The writing style, the structure of it, it awoke something in me. It gave me the inspiration I needed to start writing a book I had the idea for long before I ever conceived of Astrid. It's a sci fi book with a hint of fantasy, and it was already planned and structured out to be a trilogy. Earlier this year I started writing it, and it's called "The Book of Kelcius." I'll share more details about it in another post, and maybe even post a chapter or two on here 🤭. I started writing that book but

now recently I've been feeling this pull to go back to the Astrid world and finish "Speck of Sage." First world problems, right? So...I'm gonna see what happens. I'd love to hear your guys thoughts on this as well. Finish the sequel to my first child, or finish writing the first draft of this new idea? Let me know!

I am still looking for literary agents for Astrid. I submitted two just today! Part of the reason I pivoted to Kelcius was because I knew if I got that finished and turned into a fully final drafted manuscript, I would have TWO books to try and shop around to agents. But....everything is a journey and a process, so we just have to wait, and I appreciate all of those who have been waiting alongside me.

So, what's next?

Well, I don't really have any new things to publish onto this site outside of maybe a few fun Kelcius teasers. But I wanna stay active. I wanna build this and build the instagram account as well. I'm gonna start posting a weekly blog, most likely talking about what I've been working on or maybe I'll dive into my writing process. If you still follow my instagram, I may try making some videos but I have no idea what they could even be. I'm open to ideas!

Anyways, I wanted to come on here and give you all the scoop. Thing of this has a nice reintroduction! We're gonna be trying out some new things, and some new ideas, but most importantly, I'm going to be way more active! I promise!!
